Characteristics[]

The Hector is a good Mido beginner ship. Compared to the Inflict, it sacrifices 45 Armor points for increased handling and 1 extra Equipment slot, and is about equal in all other stats. Since both are at about the same price, it's up to the player to decide if a more advanced ship is worth the durability lost comparatively. If you don't mind paying a tiny bit more (around 600$), a Badger is a better choice. It is a good starting ship due to its acceptable cargo hold, and decent amount of equipment slots to allow a mining drill along with basic equipment,as well as a cargo compressor.

Trivia[]

  • The Hector bears a mid-level resemblance to the P-38 Lightning, An American fighter plane (Lockheed Martin) used during World War II.
  • It also bears some resemblace to the North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco , an American light attack aircraft
  • It is a Starter Ship.
