DescriptionEdit

The Cronus is an extraordinary object. In contrast to traditional models, it draws its energy from a Perpetuum Mobile. The high asking price is to cover the cost of full-time psychiatric care for the many scientists who lost their minds while developing the ship's energy system. This ship includes an integrated Khador Drive.

CharacteristicsEdit

The Cronus is a moderately armed and armored ship, with 2 primary and secondary weapons slots, and 190 Armor points. Surprisingly, the Cronus's two secondary slots make it the most heavily equipped in terms of secondary weapons of the Deep Science ships, although the others both have 4 primary weapon slots. The only outstanding feature of the Cronus is its integrated Khador drive. Interestingly, its stats are almost exactly equal to the H'Soc, except for its cargo hold, which is doubled. The Cronus is the cheapest Deep Science ship.

You also receive this ship for free from Khador as a thanks for defeating Alice, which is the end of Valkyrie's story line. You are required to use this ship in the final battle with Alice.

TriviaEdit

  • Cronus may be based off the UAV predator drone.
  • At the back of the ship, the player can see pistons of the perpetual motion engine pumping. This happens even in the hangar.
  • Like all Deep Science ships, it has a orangish-red glow on the ship's cockpit.
  • In Greek Mythology, Cronus, or Kronos is the Titan lord of time.

TipsEdit

  • The Cronus is a good ship for going from A to B quickly.
  • Otherwise this ship is not that suited for large firefights.
  • This ship appears to be very nimble.
  • Upgrades for the Cronus from the Kaamo Club can be purchased for free if the player does not stop at any stations before returning to Kaamo. (Essentially, keeping the noted market price at 0 Credits.)
